13 Dudes met at St James Church on Frank Hill Rd at the Valley Rd intersection for this 26 km ride. From the church we cycled north to Frank Hill a long gradual climb with a steeper section as you summit. Continued north on Frank Hill Rd after crossing Yankee Line to Mallard Bay Rd. Rode west on Mallard Bay Rd to a gravel lane that took us down to Mallard Bay on Pigeon Lk with huge mud puddles at the bottom. From the lake we rode on a rough trail to a grassy hill & up to Westview Dr. From here we followed  a rather tortuous route along the eastern shore of Pigeon Lk on cottage roads to Yankee Line. For the record 3 km south on Westview Dr almost to Yankee line where you turn right on Basswood, left onto Bayside St to Kenedon Dr, right on Cedar Line to Liberty Line which ends at Yankee Line. Cycled west on Yankee to Cty Rd 10 & south to the TCT. East on the TCT across the trestle bridge to Orange Corners Rd. North downhill on Orange Corners Rd across Hgw 7 where it becomes Bethel Rd which takes you uphill with one rather intimidating climb just north of Bethel to Valley rode on which we cycled east to the church & our vehicles. This is a pleasant rode thru a remote area of Emily Twp. There are 2 hill climbs of note, Frank Hill  & the Bethel Rd hill. Enjoyed lunch at Mark’s Finer Diner (742-8181) on Hgw 7 south of Fowlers Corners. photo credits: Jim Pare & Pete MacLoghlin
