Cycling Dudes: June 3 2015 - Peter Hamley’s Oshawa Trails Ride

We had 26 cyclists turn out for this spectacular 50 km ride on the Oshawa area trails. From Peter’s home we rode to The Harmony Creek Trail a beautiful tree lined trail which takes you south towards Hgw 401. After exiting this trail Peter led us on several streets over Hgw 401 to the Second Marsh Trail then down to the Waterfront Trail in Lakeshore Park where we started to cycle beside Lake Ontario west to the Ontario Shores Mental Health Centre in Whitby. The trail is one continuous parkland taking you thru wetlands & around Whitby harbour. After cycling around the lakeside grounds of the Mental Health Centre we returned on the Waterfront Trail to Lakeshore Park where we cycled north on the Oshawa Creek to Teddy’s for lunch. After lunch cycling on a combination of trails & city streets we returned to Peter’s home around 3:00 pm. Burton’s & the blog photos illustrate the gorgeous scenery during this ride.
